Hood Lock Control Cable Assembly: Installation

HINT:

A bolt without a torque specification is shown in the standard bolt chart (see STANDARD BOLT )

1. INSTALL HOOD LOCK CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY 
   1. Pass the cable into the engine room
   2. Pass the cable rear side through the grommet until the cable stopper is attached to the grommet
   3. Pass the cable front side through the upper radiator support

   4. Connect the clamps as shown in the illustration

2. INSTALL HOOD LOCK CONTROL LEVER SUB-ASSEMBLY 
   1. Install the hood lock lever and connect the hood lock control cable
   2. Attach the 2 claws

3. INSTALL FRONT UPPER FENDER PROTECTOR LH 
   1. Attach the 3 clips to install the protector

4. INSTALL HOOD LOCK CONTROL CABLE COVER 
   1. Attach the claw to install the cable cover
   2. Install the 3 screws
5. INSTALL MILLIMETER WAVE RADAR SENSOR ASSEMBLY  (See INSTALLATION )
6. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

   HINT:

   When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected (see INITIALIZATION ).

7. ADJUST MILLIMETER WAVE RADAR SENSOR ASSEMBLY  (See REMOVAL )
8. INSTALL RADIATOR GRILLE ASSEMBLY  (See INSTALLATION )
9. INSTALL HOOD LOCK ASSEMBLY 
   1. Apply MP grease to the sliding areas of the lock.

   2. Connect the hood lock control cable
   3. Install the hood lock.
   4. Install the 2 bolts and nut.

      Torque: 8.0 N.m (82 kgf.cm, 71 in. lbf) 

   5. Install a new cap

10. INSTALL COOL AIR INTAKE DUCT SEAL  (See INSTALLATION )
11. INSTALL AIR CLEANER INLET COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY  (See INSTALLATION )
12. INSTALL ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER RH  (See INSTALLATION )
13. INSTALL ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER LH  (See INSTALLATION )
14. INSTALL BATTERY SERVICE HOLE COVER LH  (See INSTALLATION )
15. INSTALL LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT MAT SUB-ASSEMBLY  (See INSTALLATION )
