Oil Cooler: Removal

  1. REMOVE FRONT FENDER SPLASH SHIELD SUB-ASSEMBLY LH  (See REMOVAL )
  2. REMOVE FRONT FENDER SPLASH SHIELD SUB-ASSEMBLY RH  (See REMOVAL )
  3. REMOVE NO. 2 ENGINE UNDER COVER  (See REMOVAL )
  4. REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER  (See REMOVAL )
  5. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER ASSEMBLY (w/ Air Cooled Transmission Oil Cooler) 
    1. Remove the front bumper (See REMOVAL ).
  6. REMOVE FRONT FENDER APRON SEAL FRONT RH  (See REMOVAL )
  7. REMOVE FRONT FENDER APRON SEAL REAR RH  (See REMOVAL )
  8. DISCONNECT TRANSMISSION OIL COOLER HOSE 
    1. Remove the bolt and move the water by-pass pipe so that the 2 transmission oil cooler hoses can be disconnected.
    2. Disconnect the 2 transmission oil cooler hoses.

  9. DISCONNECT INLET NO. 1 OIL COOLER HOSE AND OUTLET NO. 1 OIL COOLER HOSE 
    1. w/ Air Cooled Transmission Oil Cooler:
      1. Detach the claw to open the flexible hose clamp.
      2. Disconnect the inlet and outlet oil cooler hoses.
    2. w/o Air Cooled Transmission Oil Cooler:
      1. Disconnect the inlet and outlet oil cooler hoses.

  10. DISCONNECT INLET NO. 2 OIL COOLER HOSE AND INLET NO. 3 OIL COOLER HOSE 
    1. Disconnect the 2 inlet oil cooler hoses.

  11. DISCONNECT INLET NO. 4 OIL COOLER HOSE (w/ Air Cooled Transmission Oil Cooler)

  12. REMOVE OIL COOLER TUBE 
    1. Remove the 2 bolts and oil cooler tube.

  13. REMOVE TRANSMISSION OIL COOLER AIR DUCT (w/ Air Cooled Transmission Oil Cooler) 
    1. Remove the 4 bolts and transmission oil cooler air duct.

  14. REMOVE OIL COOLER ASSEMBLY (w/ Air Cooled Transmission Oil Cooler) 
    1. Remove the 4 bolts and oil cooler.

    2. Remove the 5 bolts and rear transmission oil cooler air duct.

    3. Disconnect the oil cooler inlet hose and outlet hose and remove the tube.
