Exhaust Manifold: Removal

  1. REMOVE ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER LH  (See REMOVAL )
  2. REMOVE ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER RH  (See REMOVAL )
  3. REMOVE UPPER RADIATOR SUPPORT SEAL  (See REMOVAL )
  4. REMOVE FRONT FENDER SPLASH SHIELD SUB-ASSEMBLY LH  (See REMOVAL )
  5. REMOVE FRONT FENDER SPLASH SHIELD SUB-ASSEMBLY RH  (See REMOVAL )
  6. REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the 10 bolts and No. 1 engine under cover.

  7. REMOVE NO. 2 ENGINE UNDER COVER 
    1. Remove the 2 bolts and No. 2 engine under cover.

  8. REMOVE FRONT FENDER APRON SEAL FRONT RH 
    1. Using a clip remover, remove the 3 clips and fender apron seal.

  9. REMOVE FRONT FENDER APRON SEAL REAR RH 
    1. Using a clip remover, remove the 4 clips and fender apron seal.

  10. REMOVE FRONT FENDER APRON SEAL FRONT LH 
    1. Using a clip remover, remove the 4 clips and fender apron seal.

  11. REMOVE FRONT FENDER APRON SEAL REAR LH 
    1. Using a clip remover, remove the 4 clips and fender apron seal.

  12. REMOVE ENGINE OIL LEVEL DIPSTICK GUIDE 
    1. Remove the dipstick.
    2. Remove the bolt and dipstick guide.
    3. Remove the O-ring from the dipstick guide.
  13. REMOVE TAILPIPE ASSEMBLY  (See REMOVAL  )
  14. REMOVE CENTER EXHAUST PIPE ASSEMBLY  (See REMOVAL  )

  15. REMOVE FRONT NO. 2 EXHAUST PIPE ASSEMBLY  (See REMOVAL  )
  16. REMOVE FRONT EXHAUST PIPE ASSEMBLY  (See REMOVAL  )
  17. REMOVE PROPELLER SHAFT HEAT INSULATOR 
    1. Remove the 2 bolts and heat insulator.

  18. REMOVE NO. 2 MANIFOLD STAY 
    1. Remove the 2 bolts and manifold stay.

  19. REMOVE NO. 2 EXHAUST MANIFOLD HEAT INSULATOR 
    1. Remove the 3 bolts and heat insulator.

  20. REMOVE EXHAUST MANIFOLD SUB-ASSEMBLY LH 
    1. Remove the 10 nuts, exhaust manifold and 2 gaskets.

  21. REMOVE NO. 1 MANIFOLD STAY 
    1. Remove the 2 bolts and manifold stay.

  22. REMOVE NO. 1 EXHAUST MANIFOLD HEAT INSULATOR 
    1. Remove the 3 bolts and heat insulator.

  23. REMOVE EXHAUST MANIFOLD SUB-ASSEMBLY RH 
    1. Remove the 2 nuts and insulator from the exhaust manifold.

    2. Remove the 10 nuts, exhaust manifold and 2 gaskets.
