Network Gateway Ecu: Removal

  1. REMOVE ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER LH  (See REMOVAL )
  2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 
    CAUTION: Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.
    NOTE:
    • w/ Navigation System:

      After the engine switch is turned off, the HDD navigation system requires approximately 6 minutes to record various types of memory and settings. As a result, after turning the engine switch off, wait 6 minutes or more before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.

    • When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected (See INITIALIZATION ).
  3. REMOVE LOWER INSTRUMENT PANEL PAD SUB-ASSEMBLY RH  (See REMOVAL )
  4. REMOVE INNER NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL BRACKET COVER RH  (See REMOVAL )
  5. REMOVE NO. 2 INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY  (See REMOVAL )
  6. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE RH  (See REMOVAL )
  7. REMOVE COWL SIDE TRIM BOARD RH  (See REMOVAL )
  8. REMOVE FRONT PASSENGER SIDE KNEE AIRBAG ASSEMBLY  (See REMOVAL )
  9. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL BOX DOOR KNOB  (See REMOVAL )
  10. REMOVE LOWER NO. 2 INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL  (See REMOVAL )
  11. REMOVE NETWORK GATEWAY ECU 
    1. Disconnect the connector.
    2. Remove the nut and ECU.
