Rear Lower Arm: Installation

HINT:

• Use the same procedures for the RH side and LH side
• The procedures listed below are for the LH side
• A bolt without a torque specification is shown in the standard bolt chart (see SPECIFIED TORQUE FOR STANDARD BOLTS ).

1. TEMPORARILY INSTALL REAR NO. 2 SUSPENSION ARM ASSEMBLY LH 
   1. Temporarily install the No. 2 suspension arm with the No 2 suspension toe adjust plate, rear suspension attachment and nut to the suspension member.

   2. Install the stud of the suspension arm, and temporarily install the washer, nut and bolt to the axle carrier.

2. TEMPORARILY INSTALL REAR NO. 1 SUSPENSION ARM ASSEMBLY LH 
   1. Temporarily install the No. 1 suspension arm with the bolt and nut to the suspension member.

   2. Install the stud of the suspension arm, and temporarily install a new nut to the axle carrier.

3. TIGHTEN REAR NO. 1 SUSPENSION ARM ASSEMBLY LH 
   1. Tighten the bolt and nut.

      Torque: 72 N.m (734 kgf.cm, 53 ft. lbf.) 

   2. Tighten the bolt and nut.

      Torque: 118 N.m (1203 kgf.cm, 87 ft. lbf.) 

4. TEMPORARILY CONNECT PNEUMATIC CYLINDER WITH REAR SHOCK ABSORBER ASSEMBLY LH  (See INSTALLATION  )
5. INSTALL REAR STABILIZER LINK ASSEMBLY LH  (See INSTALLATION  )
6. STABILIZE SUSPENSION  (See INSTALLATION  )
7. TIGHTEN REAR NO. 2 SUSPENSION ARM ASSEMBLY LH 
   1. Tighten the nut.

      Torque: 150 N.m (1530 kgf.cm, 111 ft. lbf.)

   2. Tighten the nut.

      Torque: 225 N.m (2294 kgf.cm, 166 ft. lbf.)

8. TIGHTEN PNEUMATIC CYLINDER WITH REAR SHOCK ABSORBER ASSEMBLY LH  (See INSTALLATION  )
9. INSTALL SKID CONTROL SENSOR WIRE  (See INSTALLATION )
10. INSTALL LOAD SENSING VALVE SENSOR BRACKET  (See INSTALLATION )
11. INSTALL NO. 2 DIFFERENTIAL SUPPORT PROTECTOR  (See INSTALLATION )
12. INSTALL REAR WHEEL 

    Torque: 140 N.m (1428 kgf.cm, 103 ft. lbf.) 

13. CHECK SUSPENSION CONTROL SYSTEM 
    1. Check the suspension control system (see ADJUSTMENT )
14. INSPECT AND ADJUST REAR WHEEL ALIGNMENT 
    1. Inspect and adjust the rear wheel alignment (see ADJUSTMENT  )
15. CHECK SPEED SENSOR SIGNAL 
    1. Check the speed sensor signal (see TEST MODE PROCEDURE ).
16. ADJUST HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLY 
    1. For LED headlight:

       Adjust the headlight (see ADJUSTMENT ).

    2. For HID headlight

       Adjust the headlight (see ADJUSTMENT ).

17. ADJUST OBJECT RECOGNITION CAMERA 
    1. Adjust object recognition camera (see ADJUSTMENT )
