Cooling System (Mechanical): Cooling: Fan: Removal
- DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL CAUTION: Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to prevent airbag and seat belt pretensioner activation.
- REMOVE ENGINE UNDER COVER
- DRAIN ENGINE COOLANT (See COOLANT )
- REMOVE NO. 1 AIR CLEANER INLET (See REMOVAL )
- REMOVE RADIATOR RESERVE TANK ASSEMBLY
- Squeeze the clip and remove the reserve tank inlet hose from the radiator assembly.
- Remove the 2 bolts and reserve tank.
- REMOVE INTAKE AIR CONNECTOR PIPE (See REMOVAL )
- REMOVE AIR CLEANER ASSEMBLY (See REMOVAL )
- DISCONNECT NO. 1 RADIATOR HOSE (See REMOVAL )
- REMOVE ENGINE ROOM ECU OUTLET DUCT
- Remove the outlet duct.
- REMOVE FAN SHROUD SUB-ASSEMBLY
- Disconnect the 3 clamps and wire harness from the fan shroud.
- Disconnect the 2 connectors.
- Remove the 6 bolts and fan shroud.
- REMOVE COOLING FAN ECU
- Disconnect the 2 connectors.
- Remove the 2 screws and ECU.
- REMOVE FAN
- Remove the 2 nuts and fan.
- REMOVE COOLING FAN MOTOR
- Disconnect the 2 wires from the fan shroud.
- Remove the 3 screws and fan motor.
- REMOVE NO. 2 COOLING FAN MOTOR
- Remove the 3 screws and fan motor.
