Front Bumper: Installation

  1. INSTALL FRONT BUMPER BAR REINFORCEMENT LH 
    1. Install the bumper bar reinforcement with the 2 screws.

  2. INSTALL FRONT BUMPER BAR REINFORCEMENT RH 

    HINT:

    Use the same procedures described for the LH side.

  3. INSTALL FRONT BUMPER SIDE RETAINER LH 
    1. Attach the claws to install the retainer.
    2. Install the screw.

  4. INSTALL FRONT BUMPER SIDE RETAINER RH 

    HINT:

    Use the same procedures described for the LH side.

  5. INSTALL RADIATOR SUPPORT OPENING COVER 
    1. Install the radiator support opening cover with the 2 clips.

  6. INSTALL FRONT SUSPENSION CROSSMEMBER LOWER 
    1. Install the suspension crossmember lower with the 4 bolts and 3 clips.

      Torque: 25 N*m (255 kgf*cm, 18 ft.*lbf)

  7. INSTALL FRONT BUMPER ABSORBER LOWER 
    1. Install the absorber lower.

  8. INSTALL FRONT BUMPER REINFORCEMENT 
    1. Install the reinforcement with the 6 bolts.

      Torque: 29 N*m (296 kgf*cm, 21 ft.*lbf) 

    2. Connect the cooler thermistor connector.
    3. w/ Air Suspension:

      Install the height control cleaner to the reinforcement.

    4. w/ Headlight Cleaner System:

      Attach the headlight cleaner hose clamps.

  9. INSTALL FRONT BUMPER ENERGY ABSORBER 
    1. Install the energy absorber.

  10. INSTALL FRONT BUMPER COVER 
    1. Connect the 2 fog light connectors and install the front bumper.
    2. w/ Intuitive Parking Assist System:

      Connect the No. 4 engine room main wire connector and install the front bumper.

    3. Attach the 6 claws to the connect the front bumper, as shown in the illustration.

      HINT:

      Use the same procedures for the RH side and LH side.

    4. Install the bumper seal bracket and attach the clip.

      HINT:

      Use the same procedures for the RH side and LH side.

    5. Install the 8 screws.

  11. INSTALL FRONT FENDER LINER LH 
    1. Install the 2 clips so that their grooves are vertical.

  12. INSTALL FRONT FENDER LINER RH 

    HINT:

    Use the same procedures described for the LH side.

  13. INSTALL FRONT WHEEL OPENING EXTENSION PAD LH 
    1. Install the extension pad with the 3 screws.

  14. INSTALL FRONT WHEEL OPENING EXTENSION PAD RH 

    HINT:

    Use the same procedures described for the LH side.

  15. INSTALL FRONT FENDER WHEEL OPENING MOULDING LH (See  REMOVAL   ) 
  16. INSTALL FRONT FENDER WHEEL OPENING MOULDING RH 

    HINT:

    Use the same procedures described for the LH side.

  17. INSTALL RADIATOR GRILLE ASSEMBLY (See  INSTALLATION   ) 
  18. INSTALL COOL AIR INTAKE DUCT SEAL  (See INSTALLATION )
  19. INSTALL AIR CLEANER INLET COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY  (See INSTALLATION )
  20. INSTALL ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER LH  (See INSTALLATION )
  21. INSTALL ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER RH  (See INSTALLATION )
  22. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 
  23. INSTALL COWL TOP VENTILATOR LOUVER RH  (See INSTALLATION )
  24. PERFORM INITIALIZATION 
    1. Perform initialization (see INITIALIZATION ).
      NOTE: Certain systems need to be initialized after disconnecting and reconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
  25. CHECK SRS WARNING LIGHT 
    1. Check the SRS warning light (see DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM ).
