Inspection Procedure

  1. Check voltage between terminals IG and GND of A/C amplifier. 

    PREPARATION: 

    Remove A/C amplifier with connectors still connected.

    CHECK: 

    1. Turn ignition switch to ON.
    2. Measure voltage between terminals IG and GND of A/C amplifier.

    OK: 

    1. Voltage : Battery positive voltage

    1. OK: Proceed to next circuit inspection shown on problem symptoms table (See  PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE   ). 
    2. NG: Go to Next Step. 
  2. Check continuity between terminal GND of A/C amplifier and body ground. 

    CHECK: 

    Measure resistance between terminal GND of A/C amplifier and body ground.

    OK: 

    1. Resistance: 0 Ω (continuity)

    1. NG: Repair or replace harness or connector. 
    2. OK: Go to Next Step. 
  3. Check A/C fuse. 

    PREPARATION: 

    Remove A/C fuse from cowl side J/B LH.

    CHECK: 

    Check continuity of A/C fuse.

    OK: 

    1. Continuity

    1. NG: Check for short in all the harness and components connected to the IGN fuse (See  SYSTEM WIRING DIAGRAMS  ). 
    2. OK: Check and repair harness and connector between A/C amplifier and battery.
