Inspection Procedure

  1. INSPECT APPARATUS 
    1. Choose the apparatus to be inspected.
      1. Start the diagnosis system and read check result for television display assy.

        Standard: 

        APPARATUS

        A w/o Rear seat entertainment system
        B w/ Rear seat entertainment system
    1. B: Go to step   4 . 
    2. A: Go to next step. 
  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (TELEVISION CAMERA ECU - NAVIGATION ECU) 
    1. Disconnect the T19 connector from the television camera ECU.
    2. Disconnect the M5 connector from the navigation ECU.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in TELEVISION CAMERA ECU - NAVIGATION ECU .

      Standard: 

      TELEVISION CAMERA ECU - NAVIGATION ECU

      Tester connection (Terminal No.) Condition Specified condition
      TX1+ (T19-24) - TX+ (N5-5) Always Below 1.0 ohms
      TX1- (T19-23) - TX- (N5-10) Always Below 1.0 ohms
      TX1+ (T19-24) - Body ground Always 10 k ohms or higher
      TX1- (T19-23) - Body ground Always 10 k ohms or higher

    1. NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 
    2. OK: Go to next step. 
  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (TELEVISION CAMERA ECU - MULTI-DISPLAY (CRT DISPLAY) DISPLAY 
    1. Disconnect the M6 connector from the multi-display (CRT display) display.
    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in TELEVISION CAMERA ECU - MULTI-DISPLAY (CRT DISPLAY) DISPLAY .

      Standard: 

      TELEVISION CAMERA ECU - MULTI-DISPLAY (CRT DISPLAY) DISPLAY

      Tester connection (Terminal No.) Condition Specified condition
      TX+ (T19-17) - TX+ (M6-13) Always Below 1.0 ohms
      TX- (T19-18) - TX- (M6-14) Always Below 1.0 ohms
      TX+ (T19-17) - Body ground Always 10 k ohms or higher
      TX- (T19-18) - Body ground Always 10 k ohms or higher

    1. NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 
    2. OK: PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE (See  PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE   ) 
  4. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (TELEVISION CAMERA ECU - MULTI-DISPLAY (CRT DISPLAY) DISPLAY 
    1. Disconnect the M6 connector from the multi-display (CRT display) display.
    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in TELEVISION CAMERA ECU - MULTI-DISPLAY (CRT DISPLAY) DISPLAY .

      Standard: 

      TELEVISION CAMERA ECU - MULTI-DISPLAY (CRT DISPLAY) DISPLAY

      Tester connection (Terminal No.) Condition Specified condition
      TX+ (T19-17) - TX+ (M6-13) Always Below 1.0 ohms
      TX- (T19-18) - TX- (M6-14) Always Below 1.0 ohms
      TX+ (T19-17) - Body ground Always 10 k ohms or higher
      TX- (T19-18) - Body ground Always 10 k ohms or higher

    1. NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 
    2. OK: PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE (See  PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE   )
