HINT:

CAUTION is displayed on the multi-display (CRT display) display and the back monitor system cannot be used if the back door is open with the shift lever in the R position.

PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE - BACK MONITOR SYSTEM

Symptom Suspected Area
When shift lever is in R position, back monitor image is not displayed (Screen is not black).
  1. Power source circuit (Television camera ECU)
  2. Reverse signal circuit
  3. AVC-LAN circuit
  4. Television camera ECU
When shift lever is in R position, back monitor image is not displayed (Screen is black).
  1. Display signal circuit (To multi-display (CRT display) display)
  2. Display signal circuit (From television camera assy)
  3. Television camera ECU
When shift lever is not in R position, back monitor image is displayed.
  1. Reverse signal circuit
  2. Television camera ECU
The back monitor image is displayed even when the back door is open.
  1. Courtesy switch signal circuit
  2. Television camera ECU
Back monitor image (color, or picture) is something wrong.
