DTC P056E-85 Cold Start Turbocharger/Supercharger Boost Control "A" Performance - Signal above allowable range: Action

NOTE:
If a fault is identified with the wastegate system or the actuator, install a new turbocharger. The actuator is not a replaceable part. DO NOT
remove the actuator or the connecting rod
- Vehicle Conditions to Enable DTC Logging Strategy
- Ignition On
- Inspect connectors for signs of water ingress, and pins for damage and/or corrosion
- Check the powertrain control module connectors for water ingress
- Refer to the appropriate system wiring diagrams and check the turbocharger electronic wastegate circuit for
- Short circuit to ground
- Short circuit to power
- Open circuit
- High resistance
- Check turbocharger wastegate rod movement, start the engine and monitor wastegate rod movement DO NOT attempt to disconnect, manipulate or put pressure on the waste gate rod, doing so can result in damage and loss of function of waste gate actuation
- Check turbocharger wastegate voltage at closed position
- Check turbocharger wastegate rod/lever for any mechanical damage, bend or heavy corrosion close to pin For additional information, Refer to: TURBOCHARGER .
- Using the Jaguar Land Rover approved diagnostic equipment, clear the Diagnostic Trouble Code(s) and retest
