- Normal driving above 2300 rpm
- Prioritized Checks to Perform
- Using the Jaguar Land Rover approved diagnostic equipment, check the powertrain control module for misfire related Diagnostic Trouble Code(s) and perform the relevant corrective actions
- Refer to the appropriate system wiring diagrams and check the knock sensor circuit for short circuit to ground, short circuit to power. Check the electrical connectors for evidence of water ingress. Check the terminals for damage and corrosion. Repair the wiring harness as necessary
- Using the Jaguar Land Rover approved diagnostic equipment, run application - ECU Diagnostics/Powertrain Control Module (PCM)/Clear Diagnostic Trouble Code(s). Retest
- Check the resistance of the knock sensor (should be greater than 4 mega-ohms). Install a new knock sensor as necessary
