Prioritized Checks to Perform
- Refer to the appropriate system wiring diagrams and check the intake air temperature sensor circuit for short circuit to ground, open circuit, high resistance. Check the electrical connectors for evidence of water ingress. Check the terminals for damage and corrosion. Repair the wiring harness as necessary
- Check the intake air temperature sensor for contamination. Clean the intake air temperature sensor as necessary
- Install a new mass air flow and temperature sensor
- Using the Jaguar Land Rover approved diagnostic equipment, run application - ECU Diagnostics/Powertrain Control Module (PCM)/Clear Diagnostic Trouble Code(s). Retest
