- Vehicle Conditions to Enable DTC Setting Strategy
- Drive the vehicle at a steady state for greater than 20 minutes
- Prioritized Checks to Perform
- Refer to the appropriate system wiring diagrams and check the ambient air temperature sensor circuit for short circuit to ground, short circuit to power, open circuit, high resistance (greater than 20 ohms). Check the electrical connectors for evidence of water ingress. Check the terminals for damage and corrosion. Repair the wiring harness as necessary
- Install a new ambient air temperature sensor
- Using the Jaguar Land Rover approved diagnostic equipment, run application - ECU Diagnostics/Powertrain Control Module (PCM)/Clear Diagnostic Trouble Code(s). Retest
