DTC P2099-02: Post Catalyst Fuel Trim System Too Rich Bank 2 - General signal failure: Action
NOTE:
Operational requirements needed to allow the monitor to be fully tested. Drive vehicle under steady state conditions for up to 20 minutes
- Check exhaust system for leakage. Rectify as required
- Check post catalyst heated oxygen sensor is correctly installed
- Inspect connectors for signs of water ingress, and pins for damage and/or corrosion
- Refer to the appropriate system wiring diagrams and check pre catalyst heated oxygen sensor circuit for short circuit to ground, short circuit to power, open circuit, high resistance
- Refer to the appropriate system wiring diagrams and check mid catalyst heated oxygen sensor circuit for short circuit to ground, short circuit to power, open circuit, high resistance
- Refer to the appropriate system wiring diagrams and check post catalyst heated oxygen sensor circuit for short circuit to ground, short circuit to power, open circuit, high resistance
- Using the Jaguar Land Rover approved diagnostic equipment, clear all stored DTCs using the 'Diagnosis Menu' tab and retest
- Check and install a new pre catalyst heated oxygen sensor as required
- Check and install a new mid catalyst heated oxygen sensor as required
- Check and install a new post catalyst heated oxygen sensor as required
