Component Inspection

Ignition "ON" & Engine "OFF" and Using a scan tool, clear the DTC
Ignition "OFF".
Disconnect the battery (-) terminal cable from the battery, and wait at least one minute.
Disconnect WCS sensor connector.
Substitute the WCS sensor or WCS Module and check for proper operation.
Is DTC present problem?
YES
- Substitute a known-good WCS sensor, and check for proper operation.
  If the problem is corrected, replace WCS sensor and then go to VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR procedure and Using a scan tool, clear the DTC and Go to WCS RESET procedure.
- Substitute the WCS sensor main harness and check for proper operation.
  If the problem is corrected, and replace WCS sensor main harness and then go to VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR procedure and Using a scan tool, clear the DTC and Go to WCS RESET procedure.
NO
- Substitute a known-good WCS Sensor or known-good seat assembly or WCS Module, and check for proper operation.
  If the problem is corrected, replace WCS Sensor or seat assembly and Using a scan tool, clear the DTC and Go to WCS RESET procedure.
