Sensor, Intrusion Module: Installation

  1. Position the intrusion sensors (1) and pigtail wire harness to the overhead console housing as a unit.
  2. Install the intrusion sensors into the receptacles in the overhead console one at a time. Grasp a sensor firmly, insert it fully into the rearward-facing receptacle on either side of the overhead console housing, then rotate it clockwise about 30 degrees to engage. Repeat for the sensor on the opposite side of the overhead console.

  3. Install the Intrusion Transceiver Module (ITM) (2) onto the overhead console housing. Refer to MODULE, INTRUSION, INSTALLATION .
  4. Connect the intrusion sensor pigtail wire harness connector (1) to the ITM connector receptacle.
  5. Install the overhead console into the headliner. Refer to CONSOLE, OVERHEAD, FRONT, INSTALLATION .
  6. Connect the negative battery cable. If equipped with an Intelligent Battery Sensor (IBS), connect the IBS connector.
