Tray, Battery: Removal: Gas
- Remove the battery. Refer to BATTERY, REMOVAL .
- Remove the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) from the mount. Refer to MODULE, POWERTRAIN CONTROL (PCM), REMOVAL
. If required, remove the PCM mount.
- Remove the upper battery tray bolts (1).
- Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to HOISTING, STANDARD PROCEDURE .
- Remove the lower belly pan. Refer to BELLY PAN, REMOVAL .
- Loosen the front half of the inner wheel splash shield to gain access to lower tray bolts. Refer to REMOVAL
.
- Remove the bolt that secures the washer solvent bottle to the battery tray (1).
- Remove the battery tray to frame bottom side bolt (1).
- Remove the hood cable from the guide retainer (2) on the bottom side of the battery tray.
- Remove the bolts (1) that secure the battery tray (2) to the inner frame rail.
- Remove the battery tray from the vehicle by rotating the tray.
- If the tray is being replaced, remove the PCM bracket from the tray to transfer to the new tray.
