Battery System (Service Information): Battery: Removal

  1. Remove the battery Intelligent Battery Sensor (IBS). Refer to SENSOR, INTELLIGENT BATTERY (IBS), REMOVAL .

  2. Remove the battery positive cable (1) terminal from the battery.
  3. Remove the battery thermal protection cover (2) from the battery.

  4. Remove the battery retainer bolt (1) and the battery retainer (2) for the battery tray.
  5. Remove the battery from the vehicle.
