Read Body Control Module (BCM) DTCs. If HORN RELAY CKT SHORTED HI DTC is set, go to next step. If HORN RELAY CKT SHORTED HI DTC is not set, replace original horn relay. Perform VEHICLE THEFT SECURITY SYSTEM VERIFICATION TEST  under VERIFICATION TESTS.
  2. Turn ignition off. Remove horn relay. Remove BCM from rear junction block. See Figure. Turn ignition on. Using DVOM, measure voltage between ground and horn relay socket terminal No. 86. If voltage is less than one volt, go to next step. If voltage is greater than one volt, check horn relay control circuit for short to voltage. If circuit is okay, replace junction block. Perform VEHICLE THEFT SECURITY SYSTEM VERIFICATION TEST  under VERIFICATION TESTS.
  3. Replace BCM. See BODY CONTROL MODULE  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Perform VEHICLE THEFT SECURITY SYSTEM VERIFICATION TEST  under VERIFICATION TESTS.
