Both Power Mirrors Inoperative

  1. Turn ignition off. Remove driver's door panel. See DOOR PANEL  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Disconnect power mirror switch 10-pin harness connector. Turn ignition on. Using a voltmeter, measure voltage between ground and power mirror switch harness connector terminal No. 9 (Yellow/Black wire). See Fig 1 . If battery voltage exists, go to next step. If battery voltage does not exist, check for an open in Yellow/Black wire between power mirror switch and fuse No. 7. Repair as necessary. Retest system operation.
  2. Turn ignition off. Using an ohmmeter, check for continuity between power mirror switch harness connector terminal No. 10 (Black wire) and ground. If continuity does not exist, check for open in Black wire between power mirror switch and ground. If continuity exists, check each mirror individually. See LEFT MIRROR INOPERATIVE  or RIGHT MIRROR INOPERATIVE  . Repair as necessary.
