Left Mirror Inoperative

  1. Turn ignition off. Remove driver's door panel. See DOOR PANEL  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Disconnect power mirror switch 10-pin harness connector. Go to next step.
  2. Turn ignition on. Using fused jumper wires, connect power mirror switch harness connector terminal No. 7 (Blue/Green wire) and terminal No. 9 (Yellow/Black wire) together. See Figure . Connect terminal No. 5 (Blue/White wire) or terminal No. 4 (Blue/Orange wire) to ground. Mirror should move horizontally or vertically depending on which terminal is grounded. If mirror does not tilt down or swing left, go to next step. If mirror does not move at all, go to step  4 . If mirror moves properly, check power mirror switch. See POWER MIRROR SWITCH  under COMPONENT TESTS.
  3. Check for open or short to ground in Blue/Orange wire or Blue/White wire between left power mirror and power mirror switch harness connector. Repair as necessary. Retest system.
  4. Repair open or short to ground in Blue/Green wire between left power mirror and power mirror switch harness connector. Retest system operation.
