Retrieving DTCS Using Scan Tool

  1. Connect scan tool to Data Link Connector (DLC). See COMPONENT LOCATIONS  . Following scan tool manufacturer's instructions, select appropriate mode to view DTCs. Once DTCs are retrieved, proceed to DTC IDENTIFICATION  .
  2. Identify DTC and perform test procedure specified. See SELF-DIAGNOSTIC TESTS  . After repairs, DTCs must be cleared. See CLEARING DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODES  .
