ASCD Cable

CAUTION: DO NOT twist or overtighten cable wire during adjustment procedure.

Check for proper ASCD cable routing from ASCD actuator to throttle drum. Loosen ASCD cable lock nut and cable adjusting nut until there is no tension on cable to throttle drum. See Figure . Ensure accelerator cable is properly adjusted. See ACCELERATOR CABLE . Tighten adjusting nut until throttle drum starts to move. Loosen adjusting nut 1/2-1 turn. Tighten cable lock nut to 69-96 INCH lbs. (8-11 N.m).
