Shift Lever: Installation

  1. Install the retainer (A) and nuts (B).

    TORQUE : 12-15 Nm (1.2-1.5 kgf.m, 8.7-10.8 lb-ft)

    NOTE: In case, install the crash pad and cowl cross bar. (refer to CRASH PAD and HEATER UNIT )
  2. Install the shift lever assembly (A).

    TORQUE : 9-14 Nm (0.9-1.4kgf.m, 6.5-10.1 lb-ft)

  3. Connect the interlock switch connector (A).

  4. Install the shift cable assembly (C) by installing the clamp (A) and the snap pin (B).

  5. Install the center console, (refer to CONSOLE )
  6. Install the center console cover (A).

  7. Install the shift lever knob (A).

    NOTE: Before completing installation, adjust the shift cable referring to ADJUSTMENT .
  8. Install the shift cable assembly to transaxle. (refer to INSTALLATION )
