PCM Reset: Procedure

  1. HDS - Connect

    1. Turn the ignition switch to ON (II), or press the engine start/stop button to select the ON mode, but do not start the engine.
    2. Connect the HDS to the DLC (A) located under the driver's side of the dashboard.
    3. Make sure the HDS communicates with the PCM and other vehicle systems. If it doesn't, go to the DLC circuit troubleshooting - Refer to: DLC Circuit Troubleshooting (L4) (2013-15), or DLC Circuit Troubleshooting (L4) (2016-17), ; For (V6) Refer to DLC Circuit Troubleshooting (V6) (2013-15), or DLC Circuit Troubleshooting (V6) (2016-17) .
  2. PCM - Reset
      1. Select the PGM-FI system with the HDS

    2. Reset the PCM with the HDS

    3. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0), or press the engine start/stop button to select the OFF mode

    4. Turn the ignition switch to ON (II), or press the engine start/stop button to select the ON mode, and wait 30 seconds

    5. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0), or press the engine start/stop button to select the OFF mode, and disconnect the HDS from the DLC.

  3. PCM - Idle Learn

    Do the PCM idle learn procedure .
