Air Mix Control Cable Removal/Installation

  1. Open the glove box. Release the glove box stop on each side, then let the glove box hang down (see PASSENGER'S DASHBOARD UNDERCOVER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION ).
  2. Set the temperature control dial to MAX COOL.
  3. Detach the air mix control cable housing from the clamp (A), and disconnect the inner cable (B) from the air mix control linkage (C).

  4. Detach the air mix control cable from the temperature control dial and remove it (see HEATER CONTROL PANEL DISASSEMBLY AND REASSEMBLY  ).
  5. Install the cable in the reverse order of removal, and note these items:
    • Make sure the ring (D) is fastened securely in the groove (E).
    • After installation, operate the controls to make sure they work properly.
