Water Pump Inspection

WARNING: This page does not describe the selected car, but rather 6 other vehicles, including the 2015 Honda Crosstour, 2014 Honda Crosstour, 2013 Honda Crosstour, 2012 Honda Crosstour, and 2011 Honda Accord Crosstour. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Remove the timing belt (see TIMING BELT INSPECTION ).
  2. Turn the water pump pulley counterclockwise, and check that it turns freely. If it does not turn freely, replace the water pump (see WATER PUMP REPLACEMENT  ).
NOTE: When you check the water pump, you may see a small amount of "weeping" from the bleed holes (A). This is normal.
