Fluid Level Check

  1. With engine speed at 1000 RPM or less, turn steering wheel from stop-to-stop several times to increase the fluid temperature. Fluid temperature should be 176°F (80°C) when checking.
  2. Check fluid level using reservoir dipstick. Fluid level should be at the full mark. Add fluid if necessary.
  3. If fluid level is correct and foaming of the fluid exists, air is present in the system. Air must be bleed from the system. See HYDRAULIC SYSTEM BLEEDING  under LUBRICATION in this article.
