Hydraulic System Bleeding

  1. Turn wheels all the way to the left. With engine stopped, fill fluid reservoir to the MIN or COLD mark on reservoir dipstick. Start engine and operate at fast idle for approximately 15-30 seconds.
  2. Stop engine and recheck fluid level. Fill fluid reservoir to the MIN or COLD mark on reservoir dipstick. Start engine and turn steering wheel from side-to-side 3 or 4 times. Stop engine and recheck fluid level.
  3. If fluid has a light Tan color, this indicates air exists in the system. Repeat steps 1) and 2) until no air exists. Once system reaches normal operating temperature, stop engine and ensure fluid level is at MAX or FULL mark on reservoir dipstick.
