Wiper/Washer System Will Not Operate

  1. Turn ignition switch to ACC or RUN position. Locate wiper washer connector C207. See Figure . Connect test light between ground and terminal "D" (Yellow wire) of wiper motor connector. See Figure . If test light is off, repair open circuit in Yellow wire between fuse block and wiper motor connector. If test light is on, go to next step.
  2. Turn wiper switch to MIST position. Connect test light between ground and terminal "F" (Orange wire) of wiper motor connector. If test light is on, go to next step. If test light is off, go to step 8).
  3. Leave wiper switch in MIST position. Connect test light between ground and terminal "E" (Gray wire) of wiper motor connector. If test light is on, go to next step. If test light is off, go to step 9).
  4. Turn wiper switch to LOW position. Connect test light between ground and terminal "F" (Orange wire) of wiper motor connector. If test light is on, go to next step. If test light is off, go to step 8).
  5. Leave wiper switch in LOW position. Connect test light between ground and terminal "E" (Gray wire) of wiper motor connector. If test light is on, go to next step. If test light is off, go to step 9).
  6. Turn wiper switch to HIGH position. Connect test light between ground and terminal "C" (Purple wire) of wiper motor connector. If test light is on, go to next step. If test light is off, go to step 10).
  7. Depress WASH switch. Connect test light between ground and terminal "B" (Pink wire) of wiper motor connector. If test light is on, no faults are present at this time and testing is complete. If test light is off, go to step 8).
  8. Turn wiper switch to MIST or LOW position. Connect test light between ground and terminal "F" (Orange wire) of wiper motor connector. If test light is on, repair open circuit in Orange wire. If test light is off, go to step 12).
  9. Turn wiper switch to MIST or LOW position. Connect test light between ground and terminal "E" (Gray wire) of wiper motor connector. If test light is on, repair open circuit in Gray wire. If test light is off, go to step 12).
  10. Turn wiper switch to HIGH position. Connect test light between ground and terminal "C" (Purple wire) of wiper motor connector. If test light is on, repair open circuit in Purple wire. If test light is off, go to step 12).
  11. Depress WASH switch. Connect test light between ground and terminal "B" (Pink wire) of wiper motor connector. If test light is on, repair open circuit in Pink wire. If test light is off, go to next step.
  12. Connect test light between ground and terminal "D" (Yellow wire) of wiper motor connector. If test light is off, repair open circuit in Yellow wire between fuse block and wiper motor connector. If test light is on, replace wiper/washer switch.
