Removal & Installation
Disconnect the battery ground cable. Relieve the fuel pressure. See FUEL SYSTEM PRESSURE RELEASE . Remove rear seat cushion assembly. Disconnect fuel delivery module electrical connectors. Remove screws and fuel delivery module access cover. See Figure. Remove the fuel line clip and disconnect the fuel line. See FUEL LINE CONNECTOR . Drain the fuel tank. See FUEL TANK DRAINING . Raise and support vehicle. Loosen clamp and disconnect fuel filler pipe. Loosen clamp and disconnect fuel filler pipe vent hose. Disconnect vapor hose from canister purge line tee. Remove fuel tank support straps. See Fig 1. Lower and remove the fuel tank. To install, reverse the removal procedure. Use new fuel line clips. Start engine and check for leaks.
