Liquid Line: Installation

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2002 Saturn LW300, 2002 Saturn LW200, 2002 Saturn L300, 2002 Saturn L200, and 2002 Saturn L100. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Remove cap or tape from condenser block and liquid line. Add amount of compressor oil that was removed during discharge to liquid line. Install NEW seal washer on liquid line and install to condenser block. See Figure . Tighten to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  .
  2. Install liquid line clamps onto condenser studs and install fasteners. See Figure . Tighten to specification.
  3. Remove cap or tape from suction/liquid line and liquid line. Install NEW seal washers. Install liquid line to suction/liquid line. Tighten to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  . Install liquid line into rail clamp. See Figure .
  4. Connect negative battery cable. Evacuate and recharge A/C system. See RECOVERY, EVACUATION & RECHARGING in GENERAL SERVICING PROCEDURES article in GENERAL SERVICING. Ensure A/C system is operating properly. See A/C SYSTEM PERFORMANCE  under PERFORMANCE TESTS.
