(1) Check charging system and repair as necessary. If charging system is not functioning properly, repair as necessary. See appropriate GENERATORS & REGULATORS article in STARTING & CHARGING SYSTEMS.
(2) Repair Anti-Lock Brake System (ABS). See appropriate ANTI-LOCK article in BRAKES.
(3) Fault exists in anti-theft system. See PASSIVE ANTI-THEFT SYSTEMS - EXPLORER & MOUNTAINEER or ACTIVE ANTI-THEFT SYSTEMS - EXPLORER & MOUNTAINEER article.
(4) Repair short to ground in Gray/Orange wire between Inertia Fuel Shutoff (IFS) switch and fuel reset indicator light.

(6) Fault exists in electronic controls for automatic transmission. See appropriate ELECTRONIC CONTROLS article in AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSIONS.
(7) Fault exists in cruise control system. See CRUISE CONTROL SYSTEMS - EXPLORER & MOUNTAINEER article.
(8) Fault exists in brake system. See appropriate DISC & DRUM article in BRAKES.
