(1) Check charging system and repair as necessary. If charging system is not functioning properly, repair as necessary. See appropriate GENERATORS & REGULATORS article in STARTING & CHARGING SYSTEMS. (2) Repair Anti-Lock Brake System (ABS). See appropriate ANTI-LOCK article in BRAKES. (3) Fault exists in anti-theft system. See PASSIVE ANTI-THEFT SYSTEMS - EXPLORER & MOUNTAINEER or ACTIVE ANTI-THEFT SYSTEMS - EXPLORER & MOUNTAINEER article. (4) Repair short to ground in Gray/Orange wire between Inertia Fuel Shutoff (IFS) switch and fuel reset indicator light. (5) For testing procedures, see appropriate SELF-DIAGNOSTICS article in ENGINE PERFORMANCE. (6) Fault exists in electronic controls for automatic transmission.
