Wipers Inoperative At Low Speed
- Turn ignition on. Set wiper switch for low speed operation. Unplug wiper motor connector. Check voltage between Yellow/Red wire and Dark Blue/Orange wire terminals of wiper motor harness connector. If battery voltage does not exist, go to next step. If battery voltage exists, perform WIPER MOTOR CURRENT TEST . Replace motor if it fails test.
- Check voltage between Yellow/Red wire and Dark Blue/Orange wire terminals of WCM harness connector. See Figure . WCM is located at fuse block. If battery voltage does not exist, go to next step. If battery voltage exists, repair open Yellow/Red wire or Dark Blue/Orange wire between WCM and wiper motor.
- Unplug connector from WCM. Measure resistance between Brown/White wire and Orange wire terminals of harness connector. If resistance is 3500-4500 ohms, replace WCM. If resistance is not 3500-4500 ohms, test wiper switch. See WIPER SWITCH TEST . If wiper switch is okay, repair wiring between WCM and wiper switch as necessary.
