Wiper Switch Test

Unplug wiper switch connector. Measure resistance between specified terminals. See WIPER SWITCH TEST  table. See Fig 1 . Replace switch if readings are not as specified.

OFF 590 To 993 103.3
OFF 589 To 993 47.6
LOW 589 To 993 4.08
HIGH 589 To 993 0
WASH 590 To 993 0
INT 589 To 993 11.3

MIN 590 To 993 3.3
MAX 590 To 993 103.3
(1) Rotate (INT) interval knob from minimum to maximum. Resistance should gradually increase from 3.3 k/ohms (MIN) to 103.3 k/ohms (MAX). All measurements should be within 10% of specifications.
