Removal & Installation

WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
  1. Crankshaft position sensor is located near crankshaft sprocket. See Figure.
  2. Manufacturer recommends removing timing belt cover and timing belt to access crankshaft position sensor. See the 2.0L (TURBO) article in the ENGINES section.
  3. Disconnect connector from crankshaft position sensor. Remove bolt and crankshaft position sensor. To install, reverse removal procedure. Install and tighten crankshaft position sensor bolt to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
