Removal & Installation

WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
  1. Camshaft position sensor is located behind intake camshaft sprocket. See Fig 1.
  2. Manufacturer recommends removing timing belt cover, timing belt and intake camshaft sprocket to access camshaft position sensor. See the 2.0L (TURBO) article in the ENGINES section.
  3. Disconnect connector from camshaft position sensor. Remove bolt and camshaft position sensor. To install, reverse removal procedure. Install and tighten camshaft position sensor bolt to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
