Removal And Installation: Removal
- Remove the engine cover. Refer to COVER, ENGINE, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
- Remove the air cleaner body. Refer to BODY, AIR CLEANER, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION
.
- Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to HOISTING, STANDARD PROCEDURE .
- Drain the cooling system. Refer to DRAINING THE COOLING SYSTEM .
- Remove the screw (2), four bolts (3 and 4) and the right lower splash shield (1).
- Remove the right front wheelhouse splash shield. Refer to SHIELD, SPLASH, FRONT WHEELHOUSE, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
- Remove two nuts (1), disengage the tube retainer (2) and reposition the power steering line (3).CAUTION:
Do not let the tensioner arm snapback to the fully extended position, severe damage may occur to the tensioner.
- Decrease the belt tension by rotating the center bolt of the tensioner pulley (1) counterclockwise, lift the belt off one of the pulleys and slowly release the tensioner to the fully extended position.
- Reposition the accessory drive belt (3).
- Remove the three water pump pulley bolts (2) and remove the water pump pulley (1).
- Remove the five water pump bolts (2) and remove the water pump (1).
- Clean the water pump mounting surface (1).
