Heated Seat Module

NOTE: For component location, see COMPONENT LOCATIONS  . For terminal identification, see appropriate illustration under CONNECTOR IDENTIFICATION  . For circuit and wire color identification, see WIRING DIAGRAMS  . For component removal and installation procedures, see appropriate component under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION  .
  1. Check the heated seat element. See HEATED SEAT ELEMENT  .
  2. Check the heated seat sensor. See HEATED SEAT SENSOR  .
  3. Check the appropriate heated seat switch. See HEATED SEAT SWITCH  .
  4. Backprobe the heated seat module harness connector (do not disconnect). Check for voltage at the heated seat module harness connector terminals No. 4 and 6. If battery voltage exists, go to next step. If battery voltage does not exist, repair the open voltage supply circuit(s) as necessary.
  5. Backprobe the heated seat module harness connector (do not disconnect). Check for continuity to ground on the heated seat module harness connector terminal No. 3. If continuity exists, replace the heated seat module. If continuity does not exist, repair the open ground circuit as necessary.
