Power Transfer Unit (PTU) Fluid Fill

- Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to HOISTING, STANDARD PROCEDURE .
- Remove the front belly pan. Refer to BELLY PAN, FRONT, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
- Position a drain pan under the PTU fill plug.
- Remove the fill plug.
1 - Fill Plug - Fill the PTU to the bottom of the PTU fill plug hole using the specified fluid
Refer to CAPACITIES AND RECOMMENDED FLUIDS, SPECIFICATIONS .
NOTE:It may take several minutes for the fluid to equalize in the PTU before a final fluid level check can be determined.
- Install PTU fill plug and tighten to the proper torque specifications. Refer to TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
- Install the front belly pan. Refer to BELLY PAN, FRONT, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
- Remove the support and lower the vehicle.
