Electric Cooling Fans: Operation

Powertrain Control Module (PCM) controls operation of cooling fan by sending an input signal to radiator fan control module to activate cooling fan. PCM activates cooling fan when coolant temperature exceeds 223°F (106°C), or when A/C system has been activated. Radiator fan control module receives voltage from fuse No. 2 (50-amp) located in engine fuse block, and is grounded through ground point G100. See Figure .
