Intake Air Temperature Sensor

NOTE: Volume Airflow (VAF) sensor and Intake Air Temperature (IAT) sensor are combined in one unit.

IAT sensor measures temperature of incoming intake air. This information is used by Engine control module/powertrain control module to adjust air/fuel mixture. The VAF sensor is located on the intake air filter case. See Fig 1 .
