Rear Power Module: Removal

  1. Disconnect and isolate the battery negative cable. Remove the right quarter trim panel and right D-pillar trim panel from the quarter inner panel:
    • Remove rear header trim cover.
    • Remove liftgate sill plate.
    • Remove second row seat belt turning loop on long wheel base vehicle.
    • Remove bolt attaching second row seat belt, anchor to quarter on short wheel base vehicle.
    • Disengage hidden clips attaching trim to D-pillar.
    • Remove D-pillar trim panel from D-pillar.
    • Disconnect speaker wire connector, if equipped.
    • Pass second row seat belt, if equipped, through slot in trim panel on short wheel base vehicle.
    • Remove D-pillar trim from vehicle.
  2. Disconnect the rear HVAC wire harness connector for the blower power module from the resistor connector receptacle. See Fig 1.
  3. Disconnect the blower motor pigtail wire connector from the blower power module connector receptacle. Remove the two screws that secure the blower power module to the rear heater-A/C unit housing.
  4. Remove the blower power module from the rear heater-A/C unit housing.
