VTSS Test 5B - VTSS Indicator Light

NOTE: Perform VTSS TEST 5A before proceeding with this test. For connector terminal identification, refer to CONNECTOR IDENTIFICATION . For wiring diagrams, refer to WIRING DIAGRAMS . Perform, after each repair, TEST VER-1A - VERIFICATION PROCEDURE .

CAUTION: Always turn ignition switch to OFF position prior to disconnecting or connecting any module connector.

Disconnect Body Control Module (BCM) instrument panel 10-pin connector and ensure connector is clean and not damaged. See Figure in CHIME TEST 3A. If VTSS indicator light goes off, replace BCM. If VTSS indicator light stays on, repair short to ground in Black/Orange wire circuit between BCM and VTSS indicator light.
