VTSS Test 2A - VTSS Module No Response

NOTE: Perform VTSS TEST 1A  before proceeding with this test. For connector terminal ID, see CONNECTOR IDENTIFICATION  and WIRING DIAGRAMS  . Perform TEST VER-1A - VERIFICATION PROCEDURE  after each repair.
CAUTION: Always turn ignition switch to OFF position prior to disconnecting or connecting any module connector.
  1. Open trunk and inspect area around trunk cylinder. If key cylinder is equipped with a trunk cylinder knock out switch, go to next step. If key cylinder is not equipped with a trunk cylinder knock out switch, system is not equipped with VTSS.
  2. Turn ignition on. Using scan tool, select SENSORS. Read ignition off/run voltage. If scan tool displays voltage more than 11 volts, go to next step. If scan tool displays 11 volts or less, go to VTSS TEST 3A  .
  3. Access Body Control Module (BCM) 22-pin connector. See Figure in CHIME TEST 3A. Do not disconnect connector. Connect jumper wire between ground and terminal No. 9 (Violet/Yellow wire) on 22-pin connector. Go to next step.
  4. Using scan tool, select BODY, then BODY COMPUTER. Select MISCELLANEOUS, then ENABLE THE VTSS. If system does not enable, replace BCM. If system does enable, remove jumper wire. Repair open trunk cylinder switch circuit (Violet/Yellow wire).
