Installation Procedure
Rear Window (1) - Install - Adhesive Installation of Rear Windows
- Connect the rear window grid electrical connectors.
Rear End Spoiler (1) - Install
If NEW threaded components are being installed, loosen the adhesive using a metal pick or similar tool before proceeding. If threaded components are reused, prepare the threaded components using the following steps:
- Remove any loose cured adhesive from the external threads of the components using a lint free cloth.
- Thread the cleaned components into the internal mating threads and remove to loosen trapped cured adhesive.
- Remove loose debris from internal and external threads using compressed air.
- Apply liquid thread locking adhesive in a strip along half of the length of the external threads, starting at the tip, just prior to installation. Adhesives, Fluids, Lubricants, and Sealers
- Rear End Spoiler Bolt (3) - Install and tighten [6x] - Fastener Specifications
- Rear End Spoiler Nut (2) - Install and tighten [6x] - Fastener Specifications
- Connect the electrical connectors.
- Rear Window Washer Nozzle Hose (1) - Connect
Liftgate Upper Side Trim Finish Panel- Left Side and Right Side (1) - Install [2x]
Liftgate Upper Center Trim Finish Panel (1) - Install
Rear Window Wiper Motor Grommet - Install
- Connect all electrical connectors.
- Rear Window Wiper Motor (2) - Install
- Rear Window Wiper Motor Bolt (1) - Install and tighten [3x] - Fastener Specifications
Rear Window Wiper Arm (1) - Install
Rear Window Wiper Arm Nut (1) - Install and tighten - Fastener Specifications
Rear Window Wiper Arm Finish Cap (1) - Install
Rear Window Wiper Blade (1) - Install
Connect the electrical connector.
- Liftgate Lower Trim Finish Panel (3) - Install
- Liftgate Lower Trim Finish Panel Bolt (2) - Install and tighten - Fastener Specifications
- Liftgate Lower Trim Finish Panel Access Hole Cover (1) - Install
- Battery Negative Cable - Connect - Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection
- Liftgate - Close
