Installation Procedure
Front Side Door Lock Cylinder Rod (1) - Install
Install the front side door latch with front side door outside handle bracket (1) to the front side door.
- Connect all electrical connectors.
If NEW threaded components are being installed, loosen the adhesive using a metal pick or similar tool before proceeding. If threaded components are reused, prepare the threaded components using the following steps:
- Remove any loose cured adhesive from the external threads of the components using a lint free cloth.
- Thread the cleaned components into the internal mating threads and remove to loosen trapped cured adhesive.
- Remove loose debris from internal and external threads using compressed air.
- Apply liquid thread locking adhesive in a strip along half of the length of the external threads, starting at the tip, just prior to installation. Adhesives, Fluids, Lubricants, and Sealers
- Front Side Door Latch Bolt (1) - Install and tighten [3x] - Fastener Specifications
Front Side Door Latch Bolt (1) - Tighten - Fastener Specifications
Front Side Door Outside Handle Bracket Screw (1) - Install and tighten - Fastener Specifications
Front Side Door Window Channel Retainer (2) - Install
- Connect the wiring harness retainers as necessary.
- If a NEW threaded component is being installed, loosen the adhesive using a metal pick or similar tool before proceeding. If threaded component is reused, prepare the threaded component using the following steps:
- Remove any loose cured adhesive from the external threads of the component using a lint free cloth.
- Thread the cleaned component into the internal mating threads and remove to loosen trapped cured adhesive.
- Remove loose debris from internal and external threads using compressed air.
- Apply liquid thread locking adhesive in a strip along half of the length of the external threads, starting at the tip, just prior to installation. Adhesives, Fluids, Lubricants, and Sealers
- Front Side Door Window Channel Retainer Bolt (1) - Install and tighten [2x] - Fastener Specifications
- NOTE:
The thread locking adhesive is to be applied to the studs on the front side door window regulator (2).
If NEW threaded components are being installed, loosen the adhesive using a metal pick or similar tool before proceeding. If threaded components are reused, prepare the threaded components using the following steps:
- Remove any loose cured adhesive from the external threads of the components using a lint free cloth.
- Thread the cleaned components into the internal mating threads and remove to loosen trapped cured adhesive.
- Remove loose debris from internal and external threads using compressed air.
- Apply liquid thread locking adhesive in a strip along half of the length of the external threads, starting at the tip, just prior to installation. Adhesives, Fluids, Lubricants, and Sealers
- Front Side Door Window Regulator (2) - Install
- Front Side Door Window Regulator Nut (1) - Install and tighten [5x] - Fastener Specifications
Place the window regulator sash retainers (1) in the full up position.
Remove the tape holding the front side door window (1) in the full up position.
Front Side Door Outside Handle (2) - Install
- Connect the electrical connector (1)
Front Side Door Outside Handle Bracket Screw (1) - Install and tighten - Fastener Specifications
Front Side Door Outside Handle Access Hole Plug (1) - Install
Front Side Door Lock Cylinder Cover (1) - Install
Front Side Door Water Deflector (1) - Install
Front Side Door Armrest Bracket (2) - Install
- Front Side Door Armrest Bracket Bolt (1) - Remove [2x] - Fastener Specifications
- Front Side Door Trim - Install - Front Side Door Trim Removal and Installation
- Enable the SIR System. SIR Disabling and Enabling .
- Ensure the window system operates properly.
