Installation Procedure

  1. Install the engine coolant fan shroud (1) to the radiator.

  2. Clip the engine coolant fan shroud (1) to the radiator retaining clip (2).

    CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution .

  3. Install the engine coolant fan shroud retaining bolts (1) and tighten to 5 N.m (44 lb in).
  4. Connect the electrical harness connector to the fan control module.
  5. Install the air bleed hose to the engine coolant fan shroud retainers. Engine Coolant Air Bleed Hose Replacement .

  6. Install the coolant recovery hose (1) to the engine coolant fan shroud retainers. Coolant Recovery Reservoir Hose Replacement .
  7. Install the radiator inlet hose to the radiator. Radiator Inlet Hose Replacement .
  8. Fill the cooling system. Cooling System Draining and Filling .
  9. Install the engine cover. Engine Cover Replacement .
  10. Install the air cleaner upper housing. Air Cleaner Element Replacement
  11. Install the air cleaner outlet duct. Air Cleaner Outlet Duct Replacement .
    12. WARNING:

    Refer to Battery Disconnect Warning .

  12. Connect the battery ground cable to the battery. Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection .
  13. Start and run engine until the cooling fans are activated.
  14. Inspect the cooling system for leaks.
