Installation Procedure

  1. Install the fuel tank heat shield (3).

  2. Install the 2 fuel tank heat shield retaining screw bolts (4) and tighten to 6 N.m (53 lb in).
    CAUTION: Refer to Fastener Caution .
  3. Install the fuel tank strap band (1) and tighten the fuel tank strap retaining bolt (2) to 20 N.m (15 lb ft).
  4. Install the exhaust pipe - rear muffler nut. Refer to Exhaust Muffler Replacement - Front .
